Where the manual work sits in retail
Process automation for trade and retail.
In trade, margin decides success, yet many back-office processes eat into it. Supplier orders are triggered by hand, goods receipts reconciled, price and article master data maintained in several systems, supplier invoices checked manually. These processes are recurring enough for automation and at the same time too unstructured for pure RPA. We work as an implementing consultancy and bring the process with the fastest ROI live first, connected to ERP and inventory management.
What comes in: PDF invoices, E-mail requests, Orders, Forms, Excel sheets, Onboarding. AI + RPA. Where it lands: SAP, CRM, DATEV, Approval.

Concrete use case: ordering and goods receipt
The classic case is procurement. Needs are detected, supplier orders prepared and triggered, order confirmations reconciled automatically. On goods receipt, an AI reads delivery notes and matches them against order and invoice, discrepancies are flagged. Article master data and prices are distributed from a single source into the systems. A human checks exceptions instead of retyping every document. Errors and cycle times drop.
How we work
-
We start with a process assessment, measure how much time ordering and goods receipt bind today and estimate the ROI.
-
Then we bring a clearly scoped pilot live, with an ERP or inventory-management connection and monitoring.
-
Only once it holds do we expand.
-
No big-bang, but a start a mid-sized retailer can manage.
Classic RPA vs. process automation with AI
| Criterion | Classic RPA | With AI |
|---|---|---|
| Documents | fixed formats only | unstructured too |
| Discrepancies | break | are recognised |
| ERP/inventory | ad hoc | cleanly connected |
| Maintenance | high on format change | more robust |
Pure RPA demands uniform documents, yet every supplier looks different. With AI in front, line items and discrepancies are recognised instead of read rigidly by position. The ERP and inventory connection keeps order and master data in sync. So procurement stays stable rather than breaking on every new supplier format.
