Where the manual work sits in logistics
Process automation for logistics and supply chain.
Logistics lives on throughput, yet many processes still hang on manual data entry. Orders arrive by mail, PDF or EDI in different formats, delivery notes and freight papers get retyped, status requests run over phone and inbox. That binds time in places that should be flow work. We work as an implementing consultancy, not a platform vendor, map the order and document flow and bring the process with the fastest ROI live first, connected to ERP and TMS.
What comes in: PDF invoices, E-mail requests, Orders, Forms, Excel sheets, Onboarding. AI + RPA. Where it lands: SAP, CRM, DATEV, Approval.

Concrete use case: order handling
The classic case is order intake. An order comes in, an AI reads line items, quantities and delivery address, matches them against master data and creates the order in the ERP. Freight documents like delivery notes and customs papers are read and assigned to shipments. Status updates to customers are generated automatically from the TMS. A human checks exceptions instead of retyping every standard case. Cycle times drop, transfer errors too.
How we work
-
We start with a process assessment, measure how much time an order costs today and estimate the ROI.
-
Then we bring a clearly scoped pilot live, with an ERP or TMS connection and monitoring.
-
Only once it holds do we extend to more document types and customers.
-
No big-bang, but a start a mid-sized forwarder can manage without a large IT team.
Classic RPA vs. process automation with AI
| Criterion | Classic RPA | With AI |
|---|---|---|
| Document formats | fixed templates only | unstructured PDFs too |
| ERP/TMS | ad hoc | cleanly connected |
| Exceptions | break | are recognised |
| Maintenance | high on format change | more robust |
Pure RPA demands uniform formats, but in logistics every sender looks different. With AI in front, line items and addresses are recognised instead of read rigidly by position. The ERP and TMS connection keeps shipment data in sync, so status requests are no longer answered by hand. The automation stays stable even with changing senders.
